Holding the Line

Another surge of activity, from both the fire and the firefighters. The battle line is the ridge between the canyon on “that” side and the homes on “this” side. I got one great shot of a copter dropping its load of water (you’ll see it, you can’t miss it) and enough others so you can see the scale of this conflagration, which is but one facet (of many) of this huge monster. Here are the latest pics, taken from the sidewalk in front of my house and the corner where the evacuation zone starts—four houses down from me.

It is tremendously difficult to relax, eat, watch TV, or anything else with a flaming sword of Damocles hanging over our heads. Thanks for your support, folks. Back in a few hours.
